Years after graduating from New Zealand’s only school of dentistry in 1998, I looked overseas to pursue advanced dental education at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle.
Dr John Kois has a world renowned reputation as a leading dental educator. Here, I built on the foundation of my earlier dental training and clinical experience of over two decades in private practice.
The deep focus in the Kois curriculum was on how to find and treat the root causes of smile and bite issues. This ideally begins with a ‘comprehensive whole mouth exam’.

At IDEA (Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy) in San Francisco I completed a mini-residency in endodontics. This intense hands-on curriculum delivered by Drs West using microscope technology further improved my root canal therapy strategies.
I mastered how to design ‘same day’ digital crowns using CEREC at ‘Spear Education’ in Arizona which was co-founded by the legendary Dr Frank Spear.
At Spear and Kois, I learnt the reverse strategy of designing smiles from the outside-in. This ‘facially driven smiles’ protocol uses your whole face to design a natural looking smile that is in harmony with your facial features.
Being certified and trained as both an Invisalign® provider and a Digital Smile Designer I hope to help build a confident and functional smile for you.
In November 2019, I was invited to receive a global dental award in Heidelberg “for providing innovative dental care that shapes the future of Dentistry”. I got to celebrate this win with 23 other female dentists from different parts of the world. I was 1 of four female dentists globally to also win in the category of “Digital Workflows”.
The winners were also invited to join the ‘Expert Development Program’ in Bensheim, Germany. It was an opportunity to speak and share on an international level about dentistry and smart integration technology.
I am a key opinion leader, dental advisor, test user for new products, and a global ambassador for Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental solutions. My career has evolved over the years to become my main hobby! I look forward to helping you on your smile journey.
